An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
