I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
